OUR MISSION

Cristo Rey Jesuit Seattle is a Catholic high school that seeks to enflame the intellects and spirits of our students by integrating rigorous college-preparatory academics, professional work experience, and faith development, empowering them to flourish as scholars and citizens.

OUR VISION

By experiencing cura personalis, “care for the whole person,” Cristo Rey Jesuit students become people for others who are open to growth, intellectually engaged, spiritually alive, loving, work-experienced and committed to doing justice. Our students know of God’s love for them as they become leaders ready to build joyful, healthy, and compassionate communities wherever they choose to live and work.

Is explicitly Catholic in mission and enjoys Church approval.
Serves only students with limited economic resources and is open to students of diverse faiths and cultures.
Is family-centered and plays an active role in the local community.
Prepares all students to enter and graduate from college.
Students in grades 9-12 work at least one full workday per week. 
Purposefully allocates use of student time in the school schedule with clear alignment to the school’s academic and work-based learning objectives and intended measurable outcomes.
Has effective administrative and board structures and complies with state and federal laws.
Is financially sound.
Supports all students in accessing and persisting through colleges that match their achievements, needs, and ambitions.
Is an active participant of the Cristo Rey Network.
