Eligibility

Students must meet all of the following criteria:
-
Age: Students must be 14 years old by September 1, 2026
-
Family Financial Status: CRJS exclusively serves students who desire a college prep education but could not otherwise afford to attend a private high school. Demonstrated financial need is a requirement for admission and is evaluated on a case-by-case basis through the financial qualification process. View detailed information on our Financial Fact Sheet.
-
Academics: Students must have at least average grades and attendance and be willing to work hard to meet high academic expectations and the work obligations of the school.
-
Employability: Students must possess the maturity and work ethic necessary to be successful working with adults in an office environment and participate in a summer training program. All students must be authorized to work in the United States by the first day of the work study program.
For admission to grade 9 or 10 for the 2026-27 school year, your family’s annual household income generally may not exceed the amount shown below in the first column for your household size. A limited number of students whose income exceeds the amount shown in the second column may also be admitted, depending on circumstances.
| Household Size | Maximum Annual Income |

At CRJS, we understand that the total income does not always capture a family’s “total story.” If your family’s income is above our limits, but you face hardships such as job loss, caring for relatives, remittances, health issues, or other challenges, please contact sshaw@cristoreyseattle.org to discuss.
All families make an affordable “family contribution” toward tuition of $40 - $250 per month for 10 months ($400 - $2500 annually). The family contribution will be determined by income and household size. All families must complete a financial determination application as part of the admission process. Every possible effort will be made to make a CRJS education affordable to those who qualify and wish to attend.
To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity application is mobile-friendly so that you can complete it from anywhere. You can also save your progress and return at any time. CRJS applicants do not have to pay the Clarity application fee. Please reach out to the admissions team to request a waiver code: admissions@cristoreyseattle.org.
