It’s a high-energy celebration where our students find out where they’ll be working during the 2026-27 school year. Inspired by the excitement of a pro sports draft, this unforgettable event brings together students, families, faculty, and community partners to kick off a transformative journey of learning and growth.

Walk-in registration will be available. Allow extra time to check in if you are registering on-site.

BRING ID

All guests 18 or older must present a valid government-issued photo ID at check-in.
ID is not required for minors.

PARKING

Allow extra time for travel and parking downtown. Nearby parking options include:

Members of the media may be present at Draft Day and may ask attendees for an interview. CRJS will have a professional videographer at the event. We believe your insights and experiences can positively contribute to the coverage and success of this event. If you are comfortable being interviewed or photographed, engage with media representatives in accordance with your organization’s communication guidelines.

A Look Back at Our 2nd Annual Draft Day at Benaroya Hall

Draft Day 2025 was a thrilling event uniting students, faculty, parents, CWS partners, and community members to celebrate our students’ Corporate Work Study (CWS) placements. Inspired by the energy of professional sports drafts, CWS Draft Day introduced students to their supervisors and partners for 2025-26, marking the start of a transformative journey where they’ll spend one day a week in a professional work environment.

A powerful example of community and collaboration, Draft Day showcases the hard work of our students during Montserrat, their 3-week intensive summer training. It was also a testament to our Founding & New Corporate Partners’ commitment to strengthening the talent pipeline in the Puget Sound region. We are deeply grateful for their ongoing support.

Event Emcee: Jen Mueller

Event Emcee: Jen Mueller

Jen Mueller is an Emmy award winning producer and sports broadcaster based in Seattle. A 24-year sports broadcasting veteran, she currently serves as the Seattle Seahawks radio sideline reporter and is a member of the Seattle Mariners television broadcast team on ROOT SPORTS. She was honored for her work in the industry in 2022 as the recipient of the Keith Jackson Media Excellence Award presented by the Seattle Sports Commission.

In addition to her work on the sidelines, Jen is an established business communication expert and the founder of Talk Sporty to Me. She’s published three books that outline her approach to conversations and effective communication. She is also the executive producer, host and creator of “I Cook, You Measure” a cooking show on YouTube.
