2025-26 Basketball Season Ends with Big Wins

2025-26 Basketball Season Ends with Big Wins

Basketball continues to grow at CRJS, adding to the strong sense of community that defines our school.

As the program develops, this season has been an important one focused on building a strong basketball culture and learning what it means to compete together. Our student athletes have worked hard to improve their skills, understand the game, and function as a team. Beyond the scoreboard, the emphasis has been on teamwork, leadership, and accountability, lessons that extend far beyond the court.

That growth showed throughout the season, including a historic win by the girls’ basketball team against Franklin High School, a meaningful milestone for the team. The momentum continued with an exciting doubleheader win at Cleveland High School to close out the season. The girls secured a 34-32 victory on a last-second shot from Natran, and the boys broke a 39-39 tie in the fourth quarter to win by 19. Both units played as united teams, showing effort, discipline, and heart from start to finish.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our CRJS Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball teams, and a special thank you to Coaches Celia La Guardia and Nathaniel Zeleke for their leadership, commitment, and belief in our student athletes.
