Cristo Rey Jesuit Seattle Joins Pacific Lutheran University's Automatic Admission Partnership

CRJS Principal Dr. Nadia Despenza Guy signs MOU with PLU Dean of Admission Melody Ferguson and Admission Counselor Mara Johnson

Cristo Rey Jesuit Seattle is proud to participate in Pacific Lutheran University’s Automatic Admission Partnership (AAP) — a program designed to expand college access and remove barriers for high‑achieving students.

Guaranteed Admission for Eligible Students

Cristo Rey seniors who earn a 3.3+ cumulative GPA and complete Intermediate Algebra by senior year receive guaranteed admission to PLU, along with an automatic scholarship. This allows students to bypass the traditional PLU Common Application, significantly simplifying the college admissions process.

A Streamlined Pathway

Students identified for the program complete a brief, non‑binding Acceptance Form to proceed with enrollment and financial aid steps, making the transition from Cristo Rey to college more accessible and less stressful.

A Supportive and Mission‑Aligned University Community

As future members of the PLU community, Cristo Rey students join a university known for academic excellence, supportive faculty, and a vibrant campus life. They’ll also be welcomed into the spirit of the Lutes, represented by PLU’s official knight mascot, Lancelute.
