A Note From the Principal's Office

A Note From the Principal's Office

We’re excited to share that while Principal Nadia Guy is away on maternity leave, our incredible Assistant Principal, Nolan Grady has stepped into the role of Acting Principal.

With a deep commitment to our mission and a strong connection to our students, families, and staff, Nolan is already leading the charge into an exciting new school year. Whether it's guiding our team, shaping a strong academic culture, or greeting students with a smile each morning, he is ready to keep things moving forward with heart and purpose.

Acting Principal Nolan Grady shared:

“As we step into our second year at Cristo Rey Jesuit Seattle, I’m struck by how much we’ve already accomplished—and how much promise lies ahead. Last year, we welcomed our founding class and laid the groundwork for a school culture rooted in excellence, joy, and community. From our first-ever Tie Ceremony to spirited student vs. staff basketball and volleyball games, we celebrated milestones that brought us together and built lasting traditions.

We saw our students thrive academically and professionally. Our 9th graders achieved the highest PSAT average in the Cristo Rey Network—surpassing both Washington State and national averages. We launched our Corporate Work Study Program with strong partnerships, and our students rose to the challenge, earning a timecard average of 3.9 by year’s end. We also saw 80% of students make the Honor Roll in the first semester, and six were selected for the prestigious Caddie Academy, opening doors to the Evans Scholarship.

As we double our student body this year, the energy on campus is palpable. I’m excited about what our students will accomplish as we expand our academic offerings, deepen student support, and grow our Corporate Work Study Program. We’re building on last year’s momentum with a renewed focus on academic rigor, cultural celebration, and holistic student development.

A phrase I used frequently with our faculty, staff, and students is that ‘every year, we are a new school.’ It is a pressure, a responsibility, and a gift. We will be undergoing exponential growth in all areas, every year, as we mature. And as we grow, I encourage our community to go deeper before going wider. Growth doesn’t always mean more—it can also mean better.

What excites me most is the opportunity to continue shaping a school where students feel seen, supported, and challenged to grow. We are not just adding more students—we are expanding our impact. And I’m honored to serve as Acting Principal during this pivotal time.”
