Open House Fills CRJS Halls with Excitement

Open House Fills CRJS Halls with Excitement

Outreach and Enrollment team members Lee Westrick and Flor Gonzalez hosted a workshop assisting students with their admissions and financial aid applications. On this historic day, over 100 8th graders visited CRJS, and over 50 families completed applications on site. We could not have been more thrilled with the turnout and the enthusiasm of all who came to campus!

Founding Principal Dr. Nadia Guy outlined the academic calendar and bell schedule for prospective students while answering a variety of questions about student life at CRJS. President Paul Hogan described the University Partners program as well as plans for transporting students to and from school and work. Vice President of CWS Katie Seltzer and Brother Jeff Allen, SJ, explained how the Corporate Work Study program, together with the support of our generous donors, enables us to offer our Jesuit, college-prep program at a very low cost to families.

CRJS volunteers helped our guests navigate campus and participate in our interactive bulletin boards, games, and activities. Students could vote for a future CRJS mascot, share their dream careers, and mark their neighborhoods on a transportation map.

We are grateful to the many people who came together to make Open House such a huge success. This event was a celebration of the unwavering commitment of so many dedicated supporters and the deep interest in CRJS of 8th graders throughout the south Seattle region. We can’t wait to welcome the founding Class of 2028. After our first, fantastic Open House, we are now one step closer to that exciting day!
