Setting the Bar High
PSAT Scores and Work Study ratings: Setting the bar high
This is a remarkable founding class. Our 9th graders have already taken their first steps toward college by taking their initial PSAT in October. Early exposure to the PSAT not only prepares students for the SAT but also helps us to plan future challenging courses by indicating which students will be ready for honors and AP classes by 10th and 11th grade.
The PSAT, which also serves at the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Exam, opens doors for future college scholarship opportunities. In October, our students' performance outpaced even our high expectations.
CRJS students’ average scores ranked higher than state, national and global averages for all the 9th graders who took the PSAT.
While working hard in class, our students were also growing and performing well in their corporate work study (CWS) positions. According to surveys of CWS supervisors, 99% of Cristo Rey Jesuit’s students met or exceeded expectations in their workplaces in the month of October. Below is a report based on what our corporate partners are saying.
Our students are the best evidence that we are indeed The School That Works.
