Six CRJS Students Selected for Prestigious Caddie Academy Program

Six CRJS Students Selected for Prestigious Caddie Academy Program

We are thrilled to announce that six Cristo Rey Jesuit Seattle students have been selected for the highly competitive Caddie Academy, a prestigious national program run by the Western Golf Association (WGA). This extraordinary opportunity opens doors to mentorship, leadership development, and a potential college scholarship worth up to $125,000.

The Caddie Academy is a three-year program designed exclusively for young women and provides a powerful combination of wraparound support, summer caddying experience, and career and college readiness programming. Even more exciting, participation in the program is a direct pipeline to the Evans Scholarship—a full tuition and housing scholarship available at 24 top universities across the country.

WGA first reached out to CRJS last fall, identifying our school as a strong partner for this life-changing initiative. After an initial schoolwide information campaign, we shared the opportunity with students who met the program's GPA requirements. WGA representatives then visited our campus to share more details with interested students and their families.

The response was incredible. We couldn’t be more proud of the six students who were chosen. They’ll spend their summers working as caddies, gaining job experience and life skills, while building the kind of social capital and confidence that will serve them for years to come.

The Caddie Academy is more than a summer job. It’s an investment in our student's futures, a chance to build networks, and a step toward earning a full scholarship to college. We can’t wait to see where their journey leads next.
