The Outreach Team is Growing and Meeting Future CRJS Families
Flor recently graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in anthropology and a minor in law, societies, and justice. While at UW, Flor worked with the undocumented student population at Leadership Without Borders. As a young Latina professional, Flor aims to combat the educational injustices that both her community and other underserved communities face. Flor has already started attending outreach events and is excited for the opportunity to help CRJS flourish.
Lee, Flor, and many other team members were all over the Seattle area in August and September. CRJS was represented at the White Center Block Party, Rainier Beach’s Back2School Bash, the Arab Health Fair, and at the Supporting Parents in Education and Beyond Fair. Lee and Flor attended St. George Parish School’s curriculum night and Villa Comuniteria’s back to school event. Lee and Nadia visited with 8th graders at Nativity school and have many more school and parish visits scheduled this fall. After the launch of the new website, inquiries are steadily increasing, and the team looks forward to opening the admissions application on October 1 and hosting Open House on October 15.
